All of our dog collars are constructed with either conventional metal buckles or plastic quick release buckles and slides and cast D-rings, making them safe to use with a leash, however they should never be used as a tie-out.  Cat collars come with break-away buckles which will pull apart under pressure for safety purposes.  Consequently, these cat collars are never to be used with a leash or as a tie-out.
We use high grade nylon webbing as a base or backing for our collars, topped with fine ribbon trims or embellishments.  These are all machine sewn for extra durability and, in the case of embellishments, are often hand sewn as well as glued.  We hold safety as a high priority so we urge that you never allow your pet to chew on their collars to prevent any issues related to swallowing.
While designer collars and leashes are offered for regular daily use, any pet product can show wear if your furry friend spends his days digging or playing roughly.  Be sure to inspect all collars, leashes, etc. on a regular basis for wear.  On the other hand, our products can be hand or machine washed (we recommend placing in a mesh lingerie-type bag to protect your washer) and then laid flat to dry.  We have test-driven our collars on our "models" for years and find that they hold up quite well with some simple care.

DISCLAIMER:  We strive to make our products as safe as possible, however it is the consumer's responsibility to ensure that any Puppy Love Creations product is the right one for their particular pet.  The consumer assumes all responsibility and liability by purchasing our products.  Again, our products should never be used as or with a "tie-out," and no pet should be left alone outside on a tie-out or leash of any kind without supervision.  All collars and leashes should be checked regularly for any signs of wear to the stitching or hardware, and any product showing these signs should be discarded accordingly.
